I’ve been noticing this thing where
I disappear a little
and then come back with an entirely new mental landscape
and for a long time this frustrated the hell out of me
like why can’t I just stay the same version of myself long enough to “finish” that thing I was excited about? To see it all the way through?
I’ve had to come to terms with the fact that “finished” to Summer…looks like Fall
And “finished” to Fall….looks like Winter
And so on and so forth you get it ;)

The uninstall wasn’t pretty. It was grief before it was freedom.
And actually, it didn’t even happen all at once.
Little pieces of neurotypical masking failed, dropped off and never came back
And I mourned wave after wave of dreams that kept dying and visions that kept losing luminosity
Because they relied on my ability to execute the old way
I beat myself up for a long time
But then….the ugly did get prettier

The funny thing is though….my inability to be consistent NECESSITATED that I lean into the spiral life
Which yes, has always existed and will always exist
But…it constantly calls to be reinvented…
